Hi,
I just got my Vero V but all of my 4:3 content is pillerboxed (Black bars on the left and right side).
This happens with my SD content and HD content.
Is there some default I cant set that will always prevent videos with a non-square pixels to be scaled to the correct ratios?
My settings are 640x480 res if that matters.
I know I can manually fix this by adjusting the pixel ratio, but
I would really prefer not to have to do this every time I watch something.
If I set this as the default for all my videos, my non 1.33 pixel ratio content would require adjustment - something I don’t want either.
It seems like Kodi can detect 1.33 content, I would like to to by default, always scale it by 1.33x.
Is this on your (4:3) CRT? If so, how are you driving it without CVBS?
You can expect pillarboxing on a 16:9 screen.
Yes - its on my 4:3 CRT. Using a downscaler (Extron VSC 500).
Assumed if I’m picking a 4:3 (640x480) res for Kodi, it would format the media properly for that screen ratio - is that not the case?
TwelveHours:
is that not the case?
I have no idea. Have you tried other resolutions?
Yes - no matter what 4:3 res I set my OSMC to, it seems like all video content by default is played as if I’m viewing on a widescreen display with left and right pillerboxing.
Edit:
640x480 seems to cause issues.
If I use 800x600, and whitelist it (I’m not quite sure I understand why), all my content plays correctly.
