Hi everyone
Since I received my new vero 4k+ I had only issues with one type of video.
When I try to play a 2160p 60 fps encoded with h.264 the video is slowing down, lot of frames dropped and skipped, audio queue saturation dropping from 100% to 0 % every 10 seconds and a message saying that my source is too slow.
I tried to re encode a part of this video in h.265, works fine same with re encoding in h.264 30fps but its a lot of work.
Did somebody experience that?
I can’t help with this directly, but can suggest you get the mediainfo data on the file you’re trying to play. (Google “mediainfo” for the program).
Also, if you are playing from a remote source (over the network), try copying the file and playing locally, and see if there is any difference.
More detail on mediainfo:
It would be good if we could find out more about the file you are having issues playing. Please see the mediainfo section in How to submit a useful support request - General - OSMC.
You can also create the mediainfo-output of the affected media file on the OSMC device:
- login via SSH, user
osmc, passwordosmc - if not already installed:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install mediainfo -
cdto the directory containing the video/audio material in question -
mediainfo -f "<media file>"|paste-log, where<media file>is your video/audio - publish the returned URL here in this topic
Thx for your help.
the file is played from a local source (usb hard drive)
A short clip of the affected file posted somewhere would be even better.
