What’s the wide port under the 2 usb ports used for?
under that there’s a small usb socket, what’s this used for?

One is an eSATA port, which on production models is terminated (so doesn’t do anything). The other port is a microUSB UART interface which was used for diagnostics during development. That’s a really ugly one from way back, and not representative of the kind of build quality we have now.

that’s true, i got mine yesterday and it looks a lot better, more joined together.
Ok so these ports were for development so I should just ignore them on my Vero?

They won’t do anything, but they are safe (you can’t plug something in and fry anything)
