Hi,
I wanted to add a new menu to the home screen called “Live Channels” and to the sub menus add the streams but that doesn’t seem possible. Instead I have to add a link to the folder within a video addon. It works just fine, but it would be nice with direct links.
Am I missing something?

Make your streams within the addon as favourites then you can add favourites to the home screen should do what you want.
Juat tried. Made them favourites but they didn’t show under favourites. I thought the addon failed, perhaps, but when making movies favourites they didn’t show either. They show nwither under adding action or item(?)(can’t recall what the top option is).
