After August 2021.1 update no hdmi output whatsoever

The sdcard works fine with 2020.10

Just to satisfy everyone I tried with a brand new 64GB sdcard and, as expected (by me at least), it does not work.
Replacing dtoverlay vc4-kms-v3d with vc4-fkms-v3d works fineā€™ish as the interface is veeeeeeery slow

Firmware version issue perhaps?

What firmware version are you referring to?

The RPi. Iā€™m not sure what else could be different between the two people reporting this issue and everyone else.

~$ sudo /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd version
Mar 10 2021 10:13:46
Copyright (c) 2012 Broadcom
version 4b9ea44619376439c801684745a12299b45ae2bb (clean) (release) (start_x)

mine reports the same version:

osmc@osmc:~$ vcgencmd version
Mar 10 2021 10:15:19
Copyright (c) 2012 Broadcom
version 4b9ea44619376439c801684745a12299b45ae2bb (clean) (release) (start_x)

Sorry, wrong command. That apparently is what is being loaded off of the SD card during boot. How about this oneā€¦

~$ vcgencmd bootloader_version
Sep 3 2020 13:11:43
version c305221a6d7e532693cc7ff57fddfc8649def167 (release)
timestamp 1599135103
update-time 0
capabilities 0x00000000

Just to clarify, Im booting with lirc-rpi overlay I cannot get it to boot with kms.

root@osmc:/home/osmc# vcgencmd bootloader_version
unknown

Just for the sake of doing it, i did run rpi-update (it updated something) with same results, no HDMI output with kms.

Iā€™m sure he is pretty busy right now but perhaps @sam_nazarko can take a look at this thread when he gets a chance.

No news about this problem? Iā€™m back to 2020.11 Wich works like a champ with my tv.
It seems like the new osmc release is having this same problem in different ways.

Iā€™ve just tried a clean install of 2022.9 and this issue is still happening, iā€™ve even change my TV setup but still a blank screen after boot. Curiously what the installer does (partition and installin files) can be seen , but just after that and with every reboot after what I get is a blank screen.
Iā€™m still keeping my 2020.11 install for now.

You may need to provide an EDID or video mode manuallyā€¦
