Currently I play UK radio through other devices and tidal through a wiim mini plugged into my amp.
I have plenty of storage space, wondered if it was worth me adding anything to the vero…but I’m getting older so don’t tinker for fun these days, would just want something I could set up, that would work.

I read a little of plex, Volumio and moode for example being used on pi but each seemed to have pros and cons.

What’s the sound quality going to be like though? I’m just thinking that if you’re hooked up to an AVR over HDMI, AVRs don’t usually have decent DACs in them, so would you need to go optical out to a DAC if wanting good quality sound?
Wonder if anyone has recently got the tidal plug in working?
Struggling to find much recent discussion and I think the plug in supplier deliberately just leaves bread crumbs rather than overly comprehensive details, so as not to tread on toes.
ShoutCast has always provided every genra of tunes multiple bitrates too the world of online radio and end user club radio mixes ect ect
