App store doesnt work

installing via the app store results in a seemingly successful installation. However, samba is stated as not installed in the app store list.

I tried installing manually, then i get an error:

osmc@osmc:~$ sudo apt-get install smb-app-osmc
Reading package lists… Done

Package smb-app-osmc is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package ‘smb-app-osmc’ has no installation candidate

update:
I think it has something to do with the jessie repository. I am getting a lot of errors when i do
sudo apt-get update

I added these lines from the guide, might be outdated I think:
echo “deb Index of /raspbian jessie main contrib non-free” | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
echo “deb Index of /raspbian/ jessie main contrib non-free” | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list

update: I deleted the lines from
/etc/apt/sources.list

error remains…

update:
SOLVED, I deleted
sudo nano /etc/apt/preferences.d/jessie.pref
