April update failed

I have updated to the April update and it only gives me the sad face even after rebooting.
I have a raspberry pi 2 btw

Assuming that you still can login with SSH provide logs via grab-logs -A

This is a clear indication that some addon (of which you have many unofficial) or Kodi configuration was the problem.

My guess is the artic zephyr skin. I have reinstalled all the addons I used to have except the skin

I have the same problem, I’m using the artic zephyr skin and if i change to the default confluence skin the UI boots. I can’t see anything in the logs though to indicate as to why it’s failing.

I’ve updated to the latest build of the skin but the problem remains, it’s fine until it’s rebooted.
