Audio out of sync latest update

Just updated Vero v all my 4k movies audio is out of sync between .5sec to 1 sec

Can you please explain what “solved” your issue?
If it is actually not an issue then we can also remove this post!

I havent solved the issue

So why did you strike it out?

Are you experiencing this issue with every 4k movies, or only the Dolby Vision videos are problematic? I’ve got the same issue, but only with DV Blurays/ISOs. Mkv files, remuxes with DV are working fine.

By accident

I’ll check again tonight my mkv files play ok

For me the problem occurs if I seek into the movie (DV ISO/Blu-Ray), or resume watching. If I watch it from the very beginning, there is no audio latency. Maybe you experience the same.

mkvs with dv all play fine bdmv/iso hdr 10 all fine just dv bdmv/iso audio sync problems

Dear OSMC Team, Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Do you need more details? How can we help?

I’m not entirely sure but I think I may have noticed some slight audio desync yesterday in a DV MKV file, specifically after resuming playback. But so slight I wasn’t even sure if it was happening. Definitely not 0.5 seconds though. That was also before I read this thread so no nocebo effect

I am experiencing exactly the same as loungi, but I am pretty sure I noticed this before the public release of DV FEL support, while still being on the test build. I need to do more testing as for me it seemed like the issue went away as soon as I switched away from the TrueHD (Atmos) audio track to the AC3 compatibility track. And in my case, it feels like the audio is AHEAD about 75 ms - 100 ms. I’ll see if I can reproduce this with DTS(-HD MA (X)) tracks.

I’ve had audio sync issues even with the November 2025 update.

I have an add-on Audio Offset Manager that has allowed me to restore my sanity.

125ms delay was the sweet spot for me.

2024 - LG C4 OLED - eARC passthrough.

The audio delay is not consistent for me. Sometimes it is 0.5 sec, other times 1 sec. Even in one movie, if I skip to the next chapter, the delay time changes.

Do you have the lip sync feature enabled on your AVR? Assuming there’s one in your video chain…

Varying time spans which the audio is out of sync from video depending on audio or video format being played hint at an issue where the varying processing times of different audio/video formats either at the AVR’s or the TV’s side come into play. Vero as the source device has absolutely nothing to do with video and audio sync, especially if audio passthrough is enabled.

out of curiosity , what do you use to measure the offset ? or is it by feel ?

There are test clips on YT.
