Bluetooth, OSMC & Kodi

I have been trying to connect my Raspberry Pi 3/OSMC/Kodi to my Sony MHC-V11 Bluetooth speaker and here is the problem i am having…

Firstly, i goto OSMC menu, network, bluetooth.
Turn adapter on
Turn Discovery on
It detects MHC-V11
Select MHC-V11
connect without pin - failed
connect with pin - failed (but it lists MHC-V11 as a paired device with a red symbol next to its name and the speaker stops pairing)
When i select the “paired” device it gives me the options of:-
Cancel
Re-Connect
Remove Device

and guess what selecting Re-Connect ends up with - Failed…

Does anyone have any ideas…

Did you install the A2DP testing package? (search Forum)

i’m not exactly a linux person
the last time i was programming was COBOL and Pascal and BASIC
but thanks for the suggestion, will look it up…

Well I Tried using PuTTY to ssh the commands for A2DP and it was particularly easy…
bluetooth works a charm on all my bluetooth devices…
