Hi Sam and Vero-Team,
My Vero V is running without any issues. However, I’ve noticed that Blu-ray ISOs with menus open very slowly and, once open, respond sluggishly. For example, if a video is playing in the background, it doesn’t play smoothly. Maybe it’s not hardware-accelerated? When navigating the menu, it also moves forward very slowly.
The menus don’t use Java. The ISO is stored on a NAS connected via Gigabit. Once the movie starts, I can fast-forward and rewind it without any problems, and I can also access the pop-up menu. Is there anything known about this issue?
Cheers
Hannes
Hi
Can you upload a log?
If it’s a BD-J menu, this is sadly expected for now.
But you say it’s not Java, so it shouldn’t be the case.
How are you sure it’s not BD-J / Java?
Cheers
Sam
Hi Sam,
bd_info says so. Although the “JAR” and “BDJO” directories exist, they are empty.
` $ bd_info .

Logs
According to the log, Kodi seems to be having trouble resolving the NAS’s hostname. However, it appears to be working in principle—otherwise, it wouldn’t have added the source, nor would it be possible to play it. I’m going to try using just the IP address and see if that improves the ISO’s startup speed.
That said, it shouldn’t have anything to do with the ISO’s choppy background video.
Have a nice sunday
Hannes
Let me know how it goes - where possible we always recommend not using a hostname
Sam
With the IP, the Share responds faster. But the background video is still very choppy. I recorded a short video of it. Should I upload it?
