Both of my Vero $K boxes are not functioning today and there is a “…no longer supported message”
I replaced power supplies, rebooted the Vero’s, router, switches etc…nothing helps.

Can you show me what message you see?
What is not functioning? Do you get a picture etc?
On the Vero 4K box, I get the main menu, but videos are very slow to start, then freeze.
When I went into the OSMC menu, I received a No longer supported message.
Clock won’t sync, database clean is very very slow.
When I manually checked for updates, there were none.
So I went to my Vero4K+. Update available message on screen. I denied it and went into OSMC menu and did a manual update. Update went through. Now videos will not play, database clean was very very slow and did not clean anything.
I found one drive on my MYSQL server that is very slow to respond. the other 4 drives on the same server are fine.
I am focusing on that issue first by removing it from the sources file.
My problem may have been the on source on the MySQL server. Removing it from the sources.xml file seems to have done the trick on the Vero4K+ box. Strangely, despite removing that source, the video count did not drop when cleaning the database.
Probably just a coincidence this happened on the same day as the update.
I did have to reset my timezone, and device name…but I do have “clicks” when navigating the menus.
Vero 4K / 4K+ isn’t supported anymore and won’t get any more updates. We display that message when entering My OSMC. See Announcing end of support for Vero 4K and 4K+ - OSMC
We also display it once on the first boot since we ended support. But after that it won’t appear unless you go to My OSMC.
A log should show us why playback isn’t working.
Ok, I had a corrupt partition. fsck showed no errors, neither did smarttools, so an ext4 reformat was necessary.
Everything seems to be working, except for the 2 SMB shares.
Kodi is looking for a “user.conf” file in the smb.conf file and there is none.
[global]
lock directory = /home/osmc/.kodi/.smb/
client max protocol = SMB3
name resolve order = bcast host
include = /home/osmc/.kodi/.smb/user.conf
and log file says no permission…but there is no longer a passwords.xml file.

Which version of OSMC did you upgrade from? Nothing has changed re Samba in a while…
You obviously have to recreate that. Either via the gui reconfigure the sources or recreate the sources and password files
I kept up to date, so whatever the previous version was.
I do not see any entry in the SMB Client section for a password.
Could you post a password.xml file as an example so I can recreate it?
it’s OK…I found one in my backups.
I figured it out…had to edit the source in file manager to add the passwrd.
