CActiveAESink::OpenSink - no sink was returned on Pi3

Did a fresh setup by the image “OSMC_TGT_rbp2_20230124.img.gz” on Pi3 and upgraded the system, but get the error CActiveAESink::OpenSink - no sink was returned.

only 3,5 port for composite output is connected, no hdmi.
please tell me, how to fix.

Hi,

Have you changed any config.txt settings?

Otherwise I believe that this is expected behaviour

  1. yes, did edit cmdline.txt to enable composite video output
  2. did a complete fresh install without editing any files, only sudo apt-get update and dist-upgrade
    if hdmi is connected, the error don’t exist.
    by unplug hdmi, plug in 3,5 jack (no output on tv screen, because of the missing edit) and startup, the error exist

so:
hdmi: ok
3,5 port: not ok

I believe you need to set this up manually in config.txt.
