Hello,
I’m using a new RPi 3, with a fresh install of the latest version of OSMC on a (new) Strontium Nitro Class 10 microSD card.
I would like to know how to connect the pi to a WPS-enabled wifi network. My network’s name is not showing up in the wireless menu. I have tried searching in the forums to no avail and I also tried manually updating OSMC.
In case they’re required, here are my logs and here is a screenshot of the wireless menu.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Use a key based authentication
WPS is insecure
I believe work is being done to add WPS support to ConnMan but still don’t recommend it
So, there’s nothing for it then?
I’ll try disabling WPS and let you know how it goes, thanks.
You don’t need to disable WPS on your router to connect with a key / passphrase.
Check in your router configuration to find the current passphrase if you’re not sure what it is or it may be written on the bottom.
But it would be recommended to maintain security of your wifi network
Hello,
I tried resetting my router and the RPi can pick up my wifi now
Thanks for all your help.
