Cant get transmission to run on my Pi

Hello,
I am new here and new to having a Pi as well. I am trying to install transmission on my OSMC installation. I used a tutorial that I found online.

In the tutorial, he uses rasbian, I assumed it would work with OSMC as well.

When I try and start the transmission deamon it errors and I get this below:
Warning: Unit file of transmission-daemon.service changed on disk, ‘systemctl daemon-reload’ recommended.
Job for transmission-daemon.service failed. See ‘systemctl status transmission-daemon.service’ and ‘journalctl -xn’ for details.

Files I have modified so far include:
/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/transmission-daemon.service
/lib/systemd/system/transmission-daemon.service
I have changed the User section to “osmc”

You know that you can install all this automatically from the MyOSMC app store right?

remove the debian transmission by doing this.
apt-get purge transmission-daemon transmission-common transmission

and install OSMC’s transmission through OSMC’s App store in MyOSMC.

I got the daemon removed. I ran into this error after.

error installing: armv7-transmiission-app-omsc

Did you mis-type transmission as transmiision? Or is that exactly the error you are seeing?

You should always install OSMC Apps via App Store in My OSMC
