The automatic upgrade is failing, also the manual one.
It fails with complaining about ldconfig not found. And indeed the file isn’t present in /sbin.
I also tried to re-install with an image, but the device won’t boot on the USB.
How can I solve this ?

It would help to know what device you’re using, as well as seeing a screenshot of the contents of your installation media to ensure you’ve configured it correctly.
