Cec error messages in log

Installed OSMC on a friends pi.

In the kodi.log i see loads of these messages - recurring …

Either his TV doesn’t support CEC; his AV receiver doesn’t or his HDMI cable does not have pin 13 wired.

It’s nothing to worry about. But you would benefit from disabling CEC.

got it thanks - I have SSH access - can I disable CEC from the command line?

I tried putting a line into config.txt but that didn’t work.

guess i need to do it in guisettings but I don’t see a CEC line.
There is no advancedsettings file on the machine as i see it.

if not no problem will do it via the gui at some point.

You’re probably right about the TV, ancient - am surprised it has an HDMI socket at all.

I think it’s under Input -> Peripherals.

If you leave it on, it won’t cause problems, but it will spam the hell out of the log.
