I connected my own HDMI cable and CEC works right away! Even no reboots needed
So is the cable provided with my Vera 4K faulty? Or is it a combination with my equipment?

Hard to tell without a debug log and running cec-client
Do you want me to do that?
I mean for now I can just use the other cable I already had.
What are the steps?
Enable default debug mode and then “cec-client” in a SSH putty session?
Sorry I’m not so familiar with debug logs and that cec thing.
I’m having the same issue. Switched cables with a known good cable, still no CEC.

EDIT: Solved with switching cables. Also, a minor problem with my TV requires me to switch input sources to get CEC working sometimes. I suspect a bug in the TV, as this isn’t unique to the 4K.
I’ll close this thread in a couple of days as CEC problems seem to be resolved.
Cheers
Sam
