How reliable is the CEC functionality between the Vero V and an LG Oled C1 tv?
My main Use-Case is, that the Box starts when I turn on my TV with the regular LG-Remote.
I already had years of reliability issues alone with this functionality with other devices:
- Some old TEUFEL Soundbar (Cinebar Duett) that only turned on ~50% of the times.
- Currently an Intel NUC running LibreELEC with an added CEC adapter on the mainboard. This thing also turns on automatically 50% of all TV boots.
On failure, I either have to push the power button on the NUC manually or select the HDMI input again in the input selector menu of the tv. (This “resends” the turn-on cec signal for some reason). I tried everything in the books: Replace the HDMI cable with a high quality 2.1 one, disabled QuickStart+ from LG ect.
I replaced the soundbar with a Sonos Arc Ultra recently and this soundbar is turning on reliable all the time with the TV! My suspicion is, that HDMI 2.0 devices without eARC are the culprit here. The Arc Ultra is HDMI 2.1 and has eARC support.
Since the Vero V also supports HDMI 2.1 and eARC, I really hope that my use-case is working reliable. Can anyone with the same TV confirm this before I buy the Vero V?
