Connection problem changing between wifi and cable

if it´s a way for increase the WIFI speed,i want to try,i don´t know what is happening using cable

You are unwise to be posting your home IP publicly like this!

if i restart the router the ip will change dont worry xD

(if you have the domain name, you have the ip…then you have to edit the name of my domain too xD)

Is already changed,any idea?

Ok, let’s just clarify exactly what the situation is now so that we can go forward, please answer all the questions below:

  1. Are you using a cable connection or WiFi?
  2. Have you unplugged/disabled the other interface?
  3. What is the local IP of the interface you’re using? (192.168.1.?)
  4. What service are you trying to connect to on OSMC? The kodi remote?

Please also do the following:

  1. Enable debug logging inMyOSMC.
  2. Reboot Pi
  3. Recreate problem.
  4. Upload new logs.
  5. Post all this information along with a screenshot of the port forward screen of your router.

-I am using cable because WIFI is slow streaming in Chorus WebServer
-Yes,is DISABLED
-192.168.1.150
-I am trying to connect to the web server,to VNC…nothing works(but Yatse the kodi remote APP is working and SSH too because i am using the LAN IP: 192.168.1.150)

-I am searching and can´t find any “debug logging” thing
-Rebooted
-Trying to connect to WebServer and VNC again(dont work)
-Getting logs via SSH
Logs
-Screenshot of router

If i use WIFI,all works fine, but have low streaming speed,if you want to see by yourself ask me about user and password, then you will see the problem

Thank you, that gives us a good starting point.

What are you running on port 8080? Is it the kodi web interface or a separate web server?

Can you access http://192.168.1.150:8080/ from inside your network ok?

Can you post the output of sudo iptables -L?

Also please try the following and post the output here.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install netstat
sudo netstat -al

Does your router or your ISP have a firewall active?

thanks for your time

-Port 8080 is the Kodi WebServer
-I can access to WebServer using 192.168.1.150 w/o problem, and stream files with good quality and speed

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install netstat : all done but “E: Unable to locate package netstat”

sudo netstat -al:

I don´t know how to hide the text in a word, sorry

And about the firewall thing,i don´t know where to see,if you can tell to me

Firewall:

Your firewall is configured to drop all traffic not in an active filter. In the list you have shown there are no active filters for port 8080 or port 5900.

You will need to seek advice from whoever manufactured your router as to how you can configure if for such traffic.

The fact that you can connect from inside your network shows that OSMC is working correctly. The iptables -L command shows that you have no firewall rules to block external traffic and the kodi webserver by default accepts connections from anywhere so this can only be a problem on your router or with your ISP.

i will try to configure something in firewall, thanks :sob:

Last thing: can´t do anything for increase WIFI speed?

The speed of any connection in to your network will be a factor of many limits.

  1. The speed of the connection to the remote device.
  2. The “uplink” speed of your internet connection.
  3. The local network speed of the interface you’ve chosen.

Typically 2 is the slowest (even if 1 and 3 are WiFi) as most domestic internet is ADSL (A means Asymmetric - ie you get more downlink than uplink).

You may well find it is no faster remotely with link 3 as a cable.

If WiFi is the limiting factor move the RPi as near to the router as possible (at least in the same room) and choose a channel with no other WiFI hotspots on it.

How to choose a channel? sorry for so many questions, you can close topic if you want, but if you can help me,please help D:

It varies from router to router, check with your router provider.

ok,close topic…thanks

To monitor which channel is best for your network, use a software for android like this Wifi-Analyzer, look for the channel with the lowest curve, or even better no curve at all, and use that channel.
