CPU speed discrepancy

Raspberry Pi 3

I’ve upgraded to the latest version - OSMC 2017 2017.02-2

Fitrst I noticed the over temp pic on the top right started popping up on playing a youtube video. My room temp is 75F and on checking settings, system info, hardware, the temp was moving bteween 157F and 160F. CPU was about 12% mem 287MB/733MB - 39%.

I noted on this page, the CPU speed was 1200 MHz. Funny. I thought it was set to normal/ 900MHz.

So I exit out and go to My OSMC, overclock, and it is set to normal arm=900, sdram=450, core = 450.

Hmmm…so why does it say 900 here and 1200 on the other page ???

What speed is it really running at ?

Pi3 runs at 1.2Ghz, this is the normal ‘up to’ frequency.
Leave things at normal.

OK - but why does it say 900 on the overclock page ?

Because those presets were originally based for Pi2.
