What happens if you run sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
from the command line?

Your log shows that there was a filesystem corruption, which might be the cause of the update(s) failing (43 packages are affected).

Did you recently have a power failure or a non-clean shutdown?

We’ll have a better idea of what to do when you show the output from the commands suggested by @ActionA .

update did nothing, but the dist-upgrade yielded:

osmc@OSMC-Family:~$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

You might want to run ‘apt --fix-broken install’ to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:

Looks like all is well. As for non-clean shutdowns. This setup locks up about once-twice a month forcing me to pull the power plug and hard reboot. Plus my power isn’t all that stable so there are spikes/quick brown-outs all the time.
