Does the Vero contain a fan? (one for the FAQ?)

Hi I searched for “hot vero” and “vero fan” in the forum but nothing came up, and there’s nothing in the Vero 2 FAQ.

I’m in Thailand where the weather is very hot.

If I’m watching something I’ll have the aircon on so it gets down to 20C, but if I’m out, the room temperature can get up to 40C during the summer. My Raspberry Pi is set to download TV shows automatically, and will crash at these temperatures when it starts working hard.

Will this problem be solved by me getting a Vero 2?

PS. another thing on the FAQ that might be clearer is the external storage option - are USB sticks OK? Those can get pretty hot.

The Vero 2 has thermal governing that will prevent it from crashing in warm environments. It does not have a fan but we have no mentions of overheating yet. Your Pi shouldn’t be crashing as that also has thermal trip points.

USB sticks on a Vero 2 won’t cause any problems. It’s just another device on the USB port.
