Dual/triple boot OSMC question

I discovered OSMC today, and can’t wait to try it out on my Pi. I have a question, though, for which I can’t find the answer anywhere. ATM, my Pi can boot into either Raspbian or XBMC. I assume that I am to stick the Pi’s micro-SD card into a reader on my (Windows) PC, and run the OSMC installer. What I would like to know is, will the Raspbian installation survive? Will I just see OSMC available as another OS alongside Raspbian and XBMC, or something?

My little son will be VERY upset if I lose the Minecraft Pi world he’s been creating for the last six months

Personally I would invest a few pounds in another memory card to be on the safe side! I’m sure this is possible, but let’s say you receive a file system corruption that isn’t repairable!

OSMC is also supported by the NOOBS installer (multi boot).
As suggested be the great parent and get a different card to try

There is a way to launch minecraft pi from OSMC so that your son can continue to play on your OSMC machine

Okay, that makes sense. I’ll order one now. Does anyone know an easy way to copy the entire card (and keep it bootable) so that I can see what happens if I try the install on an existing one?

Use this tool to clone your SD card

Thanks, I’ll try it later.
