Egalax touchscreen not recognized by OSMC

I downloaded the latest build of OSMC (Oct. 15), but the touchscreen is not recognized at all. In SSH it is not listed in events. The ts is found on lsusb. It works in Raspbian, so I know the screen itself works.

Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Perhaps a little more progress…

In the dmesg after recognizing the touchscreen the next line says:

Cannot add dependancy to unit job display-manager.service, ignoring: Unit display-manager.service failed to load :No such file or directory.

Any thoughts on how to fix that to see if it is the problem?
