Error after update

Everytime I like to perform an update I am getting en error on the update package and is rebooting after 30 secs. Allthough it seems that it is correctly installing the updates. After re-boot I see in system info the new version listed. Can someone clarify?

Not 100% clear what your problem is. Can you describe a bit more? Is it that an error is displayed or is Kodi restarting or you see the sad face?

Also please upload complete logs not only Kodi logs.

I have the same issue, but for a long time, I would say some months…
Every time I start an update process, kodi ask me to quit to install the update and on the blue screen I see it tries to update and then after some mins I get the same error as @nveldman, it restarts after 30s.
The update is installing successfully, but the progress bar on the terminal blue screen is not loading.
Unfortunately I don’t have a screenshot of that one …

Please search the wiki on how to provide full logs.

Hi again,

Last week I installed another update. Again the same message “An error occured while installing the following package:
rbp2-image-4.4.13-4-osmc”

Herewith I send you the full logs: http://paste.osmc.io/epoxiyagay

Awaiting some help

Kind regards,

Niels

After last update (OSMC August 2017 2017.08-1) I am getting an error message. Installation continues (as now the new version is stated).
This error occurs at each update. Can someone help me out / clarify this issue?

Thank you!

An error is occurring when the system tries to remove old kernels. It has been occurring on every update for a long time.

The root cause of the problem is unclear but could be a corrupted file or files. Eventually your /boot partition will fill up with old kernel images (it is currently 65% full).

In the circumstances, the safest option is to make a backup of your configuration and then reinstall OSMC. Since you’re using a Pi 3, you have the option of installing to a new SD card and keeping the existing one as a fallback and backup copy.

Hello,
Thanks for the clarification. OSMC re-installed on the SD-card (2017-07). Then updated to 2017-08 without errors. Backup reinstated by OSMC back-up add-on. Now everything OK again!
