Error: missing final newline ....?

trying to install an update and I get this error message. I have a 8GB card.

Need to get 0 B/10.6 MB of archives.
After this operation, 1357 kB of additional disk space will be used.
dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
files list file for package ‘rbp2-mediacenter-osmc’ is missing final newline
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

I’ve tried apt-get auto remove etc to no avail. can’t install ncdu either to see storage status, but with 8GB disk I think probs OK there.

Any suggestions…

Please issue:

grab-logs -a

and post the link provided.

you can check the storage usage with:

df -h

This is most likely a corrupted SD card. The dodgy file in question is /var/lib/dpkg/info/rbp2-mediacenter-osmc.list. As a quick fix, it can be deleted and the package reinstalled but other corruptions might have occurred.
