Exit to Console

Hi,

I’ve ready the wiki (Accessing the command line - General - OSMC) , I’ve read some threads here too. I followed the steps below. But nothing to be done: I cannot access the console. Pressing Escape on my keyboard does not lead me to the command line. Please help. Thanks.

Logging in locally

If you have a keyboard connected, you can log in locally by exiting Kodi:

  1. Navigate to the power icon in Kodi
  2. Select Exit/Quit
  3. Wait for the OSMC splash screen to appear
  4. Press ESC on your keyboard
  5. Login to your device using osmc for the username and password.

Okay belay that. I get it now: I got a choose “exit” and not “reboot”. I somehow never realized exit was an option.
