Frequent audio drops 4k

Hello,

I am getting audio drops with my vero 4k, this is happening with both video and games. This is happening with a clean install of osmc of the latest version (although the attached logs have been taken after xboxdrv was installed)

Watching a video series it seems to occur more frequently during quiet parts or much less frequently when a scene changes. When playing a game, I have to adjust the ingame volume firstly using select+right joystick on a wired 360 controller. Then when adjusting the volume lower, the audio either drops completely (might just have hit the volume threshold) or when a sound repeats for an extended period of time all audio will drop until the sound stops.

I thought the issue initally was the cheap projector I purchased as I used the projectors inbuilt audio and then the projectors audio out with a portable speaker. I then used the vero 4ks audio out but my headphones/speakers aren’t active so the audio has to be almost maxed out to hear. I purchased an external amplifier/DAC to overcome this and have the vero using that in audio settings. Nothing changed.

I have enabled ‘Send low volume noise’ and ‘Keep audio device alive’ as ‘1 Minute’. I have also noticed that the GUI sounds no longer seem to play, although Im not sure if this was removed in a previous release (My vero has been in storage for a few years)

I am still to test with a monitor and headphones, I will try and provide an update soon.

Can you change this setting and try again…

Settings>Player>Videos>Adjust display refresh rate> On start/stop

Hello, the issue was the speakers. I will try Adjust display refresh rate but different audio speakers work fine.
