Fstab for vero 4K?

I had in the past a Raspberry PI, and I remember writing a fstab file.
Then I changed for the Vero, and although I didn’t write this file, I still have access to my NAS . I added the sources in the options.
But I wonder if the fstab file is necessary ? I have some big files (bitrate > 50 Mbs/s from Media Info). First the file is very choppy at the beginning, then play some time than freeze, then play…

I use a ethernet cable cat6 between the nas, the pc, and vero.
The file is UHD 4K.

Any idea ?

(sorry for my poor english)

It’s worth a try. Many users see performance improvements when using fstab mounts.

Is this a 4K or 4K +?

The 4K + will have more headroom, due to the gigabit ethernet connection.

Normal 4K

You’re quite likely to benefit from an fstab based mount

Thanks Sam , I shall do that.

I created a fstab file, now all the files that had problems play now without problem.
Some of them have a bitrate near 75 Mb/s.
The only problem I had is that the automount don’t work by default; after digging in the forums, I found a solution. This is my fstab, for information :

192.168.1.100:/volume2/films /mnt/films nfs ro,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0
192.168.1.100:/volume1/series /mnt/series nfs ro,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0
192.168.1.100:/volume1/music/FLAC /mnt/music nfs ro,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0
192.168.1.100:/volume1/photo /mnt/photo nfs ro,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0
