How to get Chocolate Doom running with OSMC?

Hi everyone,

I am quite a novice regarding Linux, so there might be an obvious answer to my question: how can I get Chocolate Doom to run on my Pi 2 running OSMC? Is it even possible?

I followed this tutorial to download and compile it, which worked nicely. I quit the OSMC GUI and from the console, whenver I try to run chocolate-doom-setup or chocolate-doom, I get either a black screen, or a uniformly colored screen changing its color every now and then.

Because even the setup does not work, I think it is not related to the resolution. Changing to 1920x1080x32 in the config file did not help, as expected.

Any ideas?
