How to use OSMC behind a HTTP Proxy?

Hello,

I’d like to connect my Raspberry Pi with OSMC to the Internet, but I am behind a proxy server.
I’ve activated “Use Proxy Server” option in settings and inserted my Proxy IP, Proxy Port, Username and Password, but it doesn’t connect. I can’t use any services which requires an active internet connection. Please Help me!

~Jens

Any special (non-ASCII) characters in user name or password? Are IP and port exactly the same as you’d put them in Internet Explorer’s connection dialogue?

Des IP and Port are the same as anywhere else, and no, I don’t have and specieal characters in Username vor password.

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

So, in summary:

  • activate the logging
  • reboot the OSMC device
  • reproduce the issue
  • upload the log set either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A
  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here

Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.
