Is there any plans to add Hyperion to the app store?

Sam posted that Hyperion should be added 2 years ago and I never heard anything since.

The Hyperion developers initially seemed keen to get an App in OSMC, but we did not keep in touch. I don’t have a reactive lighting kit so I would not be able to package it reliably

Is there a way I can emulate this with a GPIO LED?
