Excuse me if it been posted already but not found any article. My IR remote works fine, however after tv is off for a day or so OSMC is displayed but will not respond to remote unless reboot Raspberry Pi. When Pi not responsive to remote, I am still able ssh into pi.
Sorry I can be of no help. However , I am having a similar problem after powering off (Remote selection not sticking) and i found it necessary to ‘reload’/reselct the .conf file by browsing for it in Settings/MyOSMC/ remotes.
