i wanted to use osmc on my pi b+ which is connected to a stereo system as a audio centre with my smartphone as a remote. The question is if i can just plug the usb with the music files in the pi and listen to the music that way. As it is now i don’t seem to find an option on the remote apps to update the usb files to the library.
You have to add the folder with the files on the stick manually once.
After that you can update the library after adding files from the remote app.

Just be sure not to update the library or trying to play a file without the stick being connected.
Could lead to errors or corrupted library.
