Kodi Freeze after last update while watching live tv

Hey guys,

I need some help - after last update I started to experience freezes while watching live tv.
After some time (30 mins+) of watching live tv Kodi freezes (i can still login via putty).
I did not have this issue prior to update.

logs: http://paste.osmc.io/ulahiqunel

my setup is:
rpi3
original power supply for rpi3
quite good SDcard (samsung evo+ 32gb)
clean OSMC install (no noobs, berryboot, etc)

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

It’s an out-of-memory issue:

[ 88.812904] Out of memory: Kill process 377 (kodi.bin) score 900 or sacrifice child

At a guess I’d be suspicious of tvheadend.
Are you saying June update was okay and July update was bad?

This was my first update after fresh install (file downloaded from osmc.tvin june).

Tvheadend was installed from osmc app store.

The issue started immediately after update. It did nit happen even once before.

But were you using tvheadend with the June release of osmc happily?
Did the problem only occur when updated to the July release?

Yeah, Tvheadend was ok in june release. Problem occured in july update.

I dont know if its related but osmc gave me sad face when i tried to upload logs. Had to do it twice.

@sam_nazarko any change in tvheadend in July update?

The last change to TVHeadend was from 4.0.7 -> 4.0.9. This was made available in the June update. Backports was unchanged from June -> July too, with the only changes for Kodi for Pi being the symlink changes to the EGL libs.

Hi, were You able to look into this issue?

I am not aware of a chance with OSMC that would be responsible for this

hey Sam, just wanted to inform that my problem stopped with current update
