Lots of hissing when speaker' volume go past 1/4 of a turn, regardless of kodi's set volume

Hi everyone,

I have been dealing with this issue as I try to get this working properly. It is a Rp2 running Kodi 15.2 and self powered Creative speakers. I can not achieve much total volume since as I said, if the speakers’ knob goes anywhere above 1/4 of a turn, the noise gets very noticeable.
Even if Kodi’s volume bar is set at zero.

Any ideas?
