Max size for the micro SD?

Would 512GB or even 1TB work?

This isn’t a very economic way to do this.

I’ve never trusted more than 128G to something that can fail any time or get lost down the back of the sofa.

you mean pricewise?

Price wise and data integrity wise, this fails a cost benefit analysis.

You could employ some basic redundancy with two 500 GB drives at significantly lower cost.

Do you want to put 512GB in the size of something so small you could likely lose it?

It should work — provided you purchase a genuine card. Once you hit such striking capacities, the number of fakes becomes high.

thanks for the advice, my use case is driven by lack of space and too many cables
