Migration from Openelec 6.0

Hi
I will try the new Vero2. Actually i’ve a “working” Openelec 6.0 installation with CuBox Pro and NAS Synology (Mysql + data).
Which OSMC version must I use for the actually database (MyMusic52 + MyVideo93) ?

Merci
Michael

That are the databases of Kodi Isengard which is also the current version that OSMC is using (and which would be on the Vero2 if you order now).
But there would be a change to Kodi Jarvis when it is stable

Ok.
I order now.
Thank you
Michael

Hi

We may ship Vero with Jarvis, depending on the Kodi release cycle. Nonetheless, we will make Jarvis ready for all platforms at the same time, so you won’t have any database issues.

Hi
What I try is to use in the same time my “old” Openelec solution and the “new” Vero2 solution. And if Vero2 works fine in “my world” (TVheadend, 2 hdhomerun boxes) switch from openelec to Vero2.
I “think” that cubox haven’t future with Openelc and with OSMC …???.
Also if Vero2 world fine in “my world” I switch to Vero2. And after i upgrade to jarvis.
Please take a look and found a good migration solution for this use case.
Merci
Michael

Bonjour
This morning I’ve received my Vero 2.
Shipping OK+++ Email monday, delivery (France) today
wrapping two box to protect the Vero 2, but some space between the two boxes exist in my parcel, and the two (paper) box of the parcel are “damaged”. The Vero himself, I think no, But for the delivery, with the third plastic cover, you see nothing… Also no reclamation. Can be a problem.
But my question:
I will migrate from Cubox 4 pro Openelec 6 to Vero 2, and the quickstart page doesn’t give the information.
What is the Kodi version and the DB version .
Merci par avance
Michael

THIS INFORMATION IS WRONG, PLEASE READ THE NEXT ENTRY FOR CORRECT ANSWER

Currently OSMC is still on 15.2 and therefore if you are using a central MYSQL install you would need to have the other installs on 15.2

Actually the Vero 2 is shipping with an RC release of Jarvis - 16.0 RC3 I believe.

It ships with RC3. As soon as final is made available we will make that available too

Can you show me a picture of the damage so we can see the extent of it?

Here the picture. In my case i think it isn’t a problem. The problem is that when you receive your parcel , with the third plastic cover, you can’t see a transport damage, also not “advice” with the parcel service.

Hi

We have to sent the item in a grey bag to stop opportunistic thieves. We do put ‘fragile’ on the mailing bag but it certainly seems the postman who has handled this parcel has taken that as some form of challenge.

We recommend in future if you have doubts about the parcel’s integrity that you open it in front of them or sign for as Unchecked.

Glad that the device itself is not damaged.

Sam

In real life if I ask everytime when i received a parcel the post"man" in my case woman to wait that I open and control the parcel without see some damage the supply chain was bad. Try perhaps a grey bag more little
But…
Jarvis 16 RC3 is a bad news for my migration project.

Ciao
Michael

The bag is the smallest that fits the device.

Jarvis final comes very soon (probably in just over a week).
