Monitor glitches

anyway i have also the issue that it doesn’t save any preferences i chose in the skin menu

Remove/comment out the ignore_edid= line. Reboot the pi. Provide the output of /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -m DMT and /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -s

Does the monitor have HDMI input or are you using a DVI adapter?

how do i Provide the output of /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -m DMT and /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -s?

SSH into the device from another computer.

the monitor has the hdmi input

the first request says that group dmt has two modes:
mode 4:640x480 60hz 4:3, clock 25mhz progressive
mode 82 (preferred): 1920x1080 60hz 16:9, clock 148mhz progressive

and the second entry says:
state: 0x12000a [hdmi dmt (82) rgb full 16:9], 1920x1080 60hz, progressive

anyway i don’t know why if i delete the sdtv_mode from the config.txt when i restart the pi, the entry is still there

I am then out of ideas unfortunately.

thanks anyway for your help, i really appreciate that

has anybody got an idea? should i do a clear installation again or it wouldn’t solve nothing?

That could indicate a problem with the SD card. Are other entries kept after reboot?

well, i added one or two other entries but if i deleted them when i rebooted the pi them were gone

Try to explicitly adding one and see if it survive the reboot

what should i add in your opinion?

because Yesterday, for example, i added HDMI_group=2 and is still there

Ok, good enough than my SD card problem is surely not present
