When I disable hardware acceleration for all video formats, I get buffering problem and movies cant play fluidly, so need to enable it, but even by enabling movies don’t play like before, all the forms of videos
I had never issue with the calibration until now

The coloured stripes on a b/w is a new bug which we’re working on. What we’ve found is it’s reproducible with h264 material when the zoom factor makes the image larger than the screen. We haven’t been able to reproduce on h265 yet.

We’ve always recommended users don’t use the screen calibrations in Kodi since it means the image has to be scaled unnecessarily. It just turns out if you do avoid calibration and zoom your videos should play with correct colours.

As for lack of fluidity - that is probably unrelated. I noticed a lot of Python errors in your logs. Not sure what that is, yet.

Thanks for answers I don’t know about python errors as I don’t have experience with software details but appreciate to tell me why I have these errors, however my device is so stable Im so happy, but since update i cant enjoy watching any thing

Good news, I did reset video settings on kodi to default then did a reboot then plugged out power cable then plugged in, now videos playing fluidly like before but some movies show still bleu strips while choosing original size on video setting

Regarding the colour stripes: I know what’s causing them and I’m already working on a fix. Unfortunately, I broke it when working on the latest 3D related issues.

Hopefully the issue is now addressed

I’d appreciate it if you could test this and provide feedback before we potentially release this as an update to other users. To test this update:

  1. Login via the command line
  2. Run the following command to add the staging repository:
    echo 'deb http://apt.osmc.tv bullseye-devel main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/osmc-devel.list
  3. Run the following commands to update: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && reboot
  4. Your system should have have received the update.

Please see if the issue is resolved.

I also recommend you remove /etc/apt/sources.list.d/osmc-devel.list after updating.

This will deactivate the staging repository. You can do so with the following command:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/osmc-devel.list.

Please note that we will automatically disable this update channel after 14 days on your device in case you forget to do so to ensure that your system reverts to the stable update channel.

There’s no need to test that build. It seems my fix is missing there :frowning: .

So what to do we test or not ?

There will probably be a new test build update in the next day or so and you can test it then. The fix didn’t happen to make it into this last build. Stuff happens, the devs are doing what they can. If you have a need for something faster there is always the option to backup your settings, Install the previous stable Kodi, and then restore your settings.
