My Vero 4K Has Crashed

Hi all, I’ve just finished watching a movie. I pressed stop and it went back to the main menu. I then went into the information about the movie by pressing the options button on the remote. Whilst in this area the screen has gone completely blank. It’s like a grey green colour and nothing is responding.

I know that I could take the plug out and reboot it but I was concerned about the data on the external HDD that is plugged into it. It’s formatted as NTFS. Is there anything else I should try first before pulling the power cable of the Vero? Any secret button press on the remote that does a reset?

I’d recommend unplugging the device at the mains.
If this occurs again, try removing the USB drive for a period of time.

Try if you can still reach it via the network (SSH)

I think he has had a kernel panic.
Some disks can do this when failing – kernel is not tolerant to this.
