I just updated my Vero V but got an error and was asked to contact this forum.
Before the update, everything was working great but now i can view a single video..
It just says buffering for a while, then it seems like the video is going to play but the screen is black but i can hear the sound.
To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.
Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:
-
enable debug logging at settings->system->logging
-
reboot the OSMC device twice(!)
-
reproduce the issue
-
upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A
-
publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.

Hi Tom,
the system hangs when i try to reboot, both times so i did a power cycle instead but when i tried to upload the log, it couldnt find the url.
when i then checked the ip it only says busy.
when checking hardware info it says cpu speed is also busy.
same when checking Summary, everything is busy so i cant do anything..

Is there a way to restore it to factory default since it worked great before i tried to update it..

Jimmie
I have reinstalled it and picked latest SW (2025-11) but after booted up, the same issue again.
No network and everything shows busy.
I then reinstalled 2025-08 SW but still the same!
How are you connected? Wired or Wireless?
have you checked your network?
What does the network information show under My OSMC → Network?
Sam
Ok, after a couple of days and also reboots, i can use it again.
Im using wired connection and it seems to have “self healed”.
I have also updated to latest FW.
Let’s keep an eye on things.
Sam
Thanks Sam.
I feel i get very good support so im not too worried
