I used my device last night worked fine…today I turn on back out of TV and find kodi frozen. I unplug and plug in to restart and tells me. Error could nit find root file system device /dev/seal. …
I’ve checked all my connections (SD, usb ) all are fine
Did you check your SD card on another machine?
Sounds like your card is broken/dead
Would it be my USB? I thought that was just for memory but I noticed last night it wasnt flashing like usual and now not even lighting up at all. SD seemed to work on 2nd unit with different usb
Did you do an SD install or a USB install ? If you did a USB install your root file system is on the USB drive and the system will not boot past the error message you see if the USB drive is not working.
I believe it’s an SD install but not sure as I bought the unit already set up. I’ve been slowly learning more about via this forum and YouTube.
I get further with the USB from my 2nd unit (which doesn’t work either) but still nothing. So I now have 2 units down.
Start fresh. We don’t know what modifications were made to the system you purchased and whether they have imaged the devices correctly
I feel like I should do that too. This way I can start fresh with both units and have them working. I’m not good with this sort of thing. Is there a very basic guide to doing this? Something easy as I’m really not good.

I would like to think we have made the process simple
You will need a card reader in your computer
Thank you, will try next couple days and get back.
The process is super simple, sam and his team did an awesome job! Best installation for any kind of system I have ever seen
There’s no way it’s that easy…great work and thank you so much… my next question, I assume it’s updated to Kodi16Jarvis? I’m having a hard time installing a build that’s for Jarvis16
The dependancy on version could not be satisfied
Nvm all is good…I was just inpatient waiting for an update that I forced…thank you all very much…greatly appreciated
