Good Evening all,
since many also have the “problem” that a start of the Vero4k is only possible after power reset. I learned this a function not a bug or a missing feature. I have discovered a workaround for me with which I can live.
I have simply clamped an On Off Smartplug to the Vero4k power adapter and can now switch via Alexa or via Smarthome App the MediaPlayer on and off.
It has already saved me five times to get up to the player and my girlfriend has the red light back.

You can use Power → Suspend instead of Power → Shut Down. This will allow you to wake the device up from sleep by pressing any button on the remote.

Iam sure that I tried it a few times to wake up the Vero again from suspend mode.
Nothing happens.
I verified if I chose the right remote model in the osmc settings.
The remote works otherwise without objection.
Are there any other configurations I missed?

Are you using the official OSMC remote? If so - no configuration is needed
Make sure you select Suspend and not Shut Down.
Yes, I’m using the supplied remote.
