After latest OSMC update the OSMC failed to load and goes into emergency mode with /dev/mmcblk0p6 device error.
Nothing helps, any suggestions how it can be fixed ?
Update: Seems that if disconnect all USB devices, except keyboard, the OSMC is starting, but then when I’m connecting usb Kodi is hangs up and not responding.
But Raspbian is working fine with all the usb devices.
Thanks
It seems like you may have a NOOBS installation.
Have you installed or change other operating systems recently?
If you want to use OSMC permanently and don’t intend to use dual-boot, then you might want to install from osmc.tv/download.
I didn’t installed or changed any other operating system recently,
But all seems to be very strange now, the Kodi is hangs and shaking, can’t get into “My osmc”, console is working fine. But, I can’t do anything with GUI. and with usb attached (even only Wifi) OSMC is not starting.
Check SD card and power supply.
You will likely need to reinstall
Tried different power supply, same.
Is there any way to check whole sd card ?
Can I somehow backup settings (kodi / osmc) ?
Thanks
If OSMC can repair the partition, it will already try and do so.
You can use OSMC’s backup option in My OSMC.
I can’t get into “My OSMC”, it’s hangs up
This sounds like the symptoms of bad peripherals.
Disconnected everything, only left with keyboard, same issue.
The damage is already done… You can’t backup after a problem arises…
Indeed. Integrity can’t be guaranteed. I’d suggest a reinstall. If you’re only using OSMC, use our installer instead.
Thanks guys. I did reinstall, using OSMC installer. Everything is working fine now.
Interesting what was the problem, as all working now, with the same peripherals.
Thanks
