OSMC Fanart/Artwork sync to new OSMC install shared MySQL

I have a number of RPI and Linux Kodi clients that share a MySQL library and NAS server. Installing a new client is simple enough but is taking forever to get the local artwork on the new clients. Browsing movies etc. takes a long time to get the fanart etc.

Is there a background process that is syncing the artwork?

Is there a way to speedup the caching of artwork? Searching didn’t really find an answer.

There are no network issue, I get c. 100 MB/Sec transfer speeds from the MySQL server.

Looking for advice and guidance.
