OSMC on AppleTV crashes when removing or adding USB

Hi, I have searched extensively and only found a similar problem discussed regarding RPi but not AppleTV. On RPi the solution appears to using a better psu which is obviously not an option for AppleTV.

Basically, the OSMC install to hard drive went fine, I had been using XBMC 13.2 until now, and if I boot with a USB stick full of media plugged in, everything works well and video playback is smooth.

If, however, I remove the USB or plug in a USB after OSMC has booted, it locks up.

I have tested different USB keys with different filesystems. (FAT32, HFS+)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can you still ping it or log in with ssh ?

To see if it’s a kernel panic stop Kodi via ssh:

sudo systemctl stop mediacenter

This should take you back to a blank screen. Now plug in the USB key and see if you get a kernel panic on the screen. If so please take a clear photo of the text and post it here.
