OSMC on RPi2 has become slow and freezing/crashing

I’ve been using OSMC on a RPi2 since July 2015 and it’s been working pretty well.
But recently after an update it refused to boot up so I had to fresh install.
After that OSMC is acting a bit weirdly - and I have noticed the 3 following issues:

  1. Sometime it has some lag when I try to control it trough IR or android remote
  2. Some videos are choppy and without audio sync, I had similar issue earlier only with some H265 videos but these are just 720P H264 videos
  3. Sometime the video UI will just freeze and I need to do a hard restart

Is there anyone else facing such issues with RPi 2 OSMC combination?
Is there any possible solution?
