OSMC raspberry pi iplayer add on stopped working

Hi

I am running OSMC on a raspberry pi and for some time have been using the iplayer add on (ver 2.7.1 - authors Alistair, Buzz, Dink, dlake02). However it has now stopped working and is comping up with a message:

Failed to fetch URL
http://iplayer.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/bbc-one.json

Also when I attempt to play a live program (which it allows me to try) I get an error popping up in the bottom right hand corner:
Script Failed! : iPlayer

Does anyone know if this plugin has indeed regressed ? And if so what it is that has changed to start causing it to file (I guess something on the bbc site) ? Is there a working plugin available that allows watching programs on bbc iplayer ?

Does anyone know how I can go about getting more information about what is causing it to fail ? Are there any error logs generated for these plugins ? Is there any way I can have a look at the script itself ?

You must not have tried iPlayer for some time, as it has been broken by BBC actions a while back.
There is a thread for iPlayer 2.7.1 in the video addons sub-forum in kodi.tv support recording the break, and discussing alternatives.
